This tree nut of an unknown variety has a very interesting texture that I could not resist. I have had fun recently finding items in nature that I can replicate with precious metal clay. This "Tree Nut" piece is a great example. It has a great shape and texture. I made a mold from it and then re-created it with pure silver PMC. It measures about 5/8" x 7/8", and can be hung from a sterling silver snake chain available here or anything you might have at home.

PMC, or Precious Metal Clay, is a clay product which is easily worked, carved, textured, and shaped, and once fired results in a pure silver piece of art. (I use PMC that is .999 silver, but it is also available in .925 sterling silver, gold, bronze and copper).
