I just love the depth of color in these Miriam Haskell vintage glass beads. There are combined here with modern gold ovals and wire connectors. This necklace measures 28 inches, so falls in the "opera' length, and does not have a clasp.
Miriam Haskell is a well known jewelry designer from the Art Nouveau era. She opened her first boutique in1926 and it wasn't long before all of the beautiful and famous women were clamouring for her work. She designed and had beads made for her in China, and they are still available in original packing from a vendor thath I use - A Grain of Sand.
