It is possible to make chain with PMC clay and this pendant shows how it can be done. This single loop, which was made and fired along ith the pendant, serves as a bail for attaching the pendant to a chain or a leather or beaded rope.
The pendant measures 1 1/8 inches round without the added loop. The pendant is made with PMC, (Precious Metal clay) in pure silver, fired in a kiln, then oxidized and polished to a satin finish.
Many of my pendants are almost as interesting on the reverse side as on the front
This listing is for the pendant only. You can select sterling silver snake chains to add to the pendant in sizes ranging from 16" to 20". Or if you would like a different type of chain let me know.
PMC, or Precious Metal Clay, is a clay product which is easily worked, carved, textured, and shaped, and once fired results in a pure silver piece of art. (I use PMC that is .999 silver, but it is also available in .925 sterling silver, gold, bronze and copper). I am starting to work with bronze clay now, and will be adding some pendants in the future.
